Dr. Marcos Plata-Sánchez (CICESE).

Ultrashort pulse lasers and processing of materials laboratory management; ceramic polishing.

Dr. Marcos Antonio Plata Sánchez received his Bachelor of Electronics degree (1995) from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Puebla City, Mexico. He received both his M.Sc. (1999) and Ph.D. (2007) degrees in the specialty in Optics from the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica in Puebla City, Mexico. He has worked with dynamic population gratings in Erbium doped fibers in CICESE, where he was a postdoctoral fellow (2008-2010). He also worked as outsourcing in the project “Sistema de detección de fugas y tomas clandestinas en ductos de transporte de gas y líquidos” (2011-2012) carried out in CICESE. Since 2012 he has been working in the Department of Optics at CICESE as technician in the Laboratory of Ultrashort Pulse Lasers and Processing of Materials.
