Dr. Ruben Ramos García received his B. Sc. degree from the School of Physics and Mathematics from the National Polytechnical Institute in Mexico City, his M. Sc. from the Center for Research in Optics in Leon Guanajuato,Mexico and his Ph. D. in physics from the Imperial College of Science and Technology in London Uk. Since 1997, he joined the Optics Department at Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica (INAOE). His research interests focus in nonlinear optics of liquid crystals, optic cavitation, optical tweezers and biophotonics.
